Due to the increased demand for legal representation, we are putting our Undergraduate internship on hold. We need individuals who can represent clients in court, and unfortunately, only attorneys and law students are able to enter these spaces. Please check back for more updates.

Undergraduate Internship
Pathways to Citizenship invites dedicated and driven college students to apply for our rewarding undergraduate internship. This is an opportunity to witness the intricacies of immigration law, advocate for vulnerable populations, and learn about the cultural and legal challenges immigrants must navigate to succeed in America.

Our Undergraduate Interns support our entire staff by working with the legal staff on updating client information on our legal software, and creating country condition reports, and updates on the ever evolving immigration landscape. Additionally, our undergrads support our volunteer programs by helping to write grants, make social media posts, create infographics, flyers, etc. There are a variety of projects and opportunities for our undergraduate students to do!
What we are looking for…
1. Educational Background: Applicants must be at least eighteen years old AND a third or fourth year college student with a strong academic record. Please notify the Volunteer Programs Manager if you are looking for school credit.
2. Interest and Passion: Applicants must demonstrate interest in immigration law, social justice, and commitment to our organization’s mission. We want people who care about this cause as much as we do!
3. Communication and attention to detail: Applicants must have strong verbal and written communication skills, since they will be working with client and Pathways to Citizenship information.
4. Teamwork and Collaboration: Applicants must have the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and interact with clients from different backgrounds. Additionally, it is important that you are able to work as a team to accomplish projects and tasks that are assigned.
5. Adaptability: Nonprofit work is fast-paced. We have multiple projects happening at once, always. Add on, the constantly evolving immigration landscape and it can be overwhelming! An undergraduate intern must be able to help in a variety of different projects.
