Ella, our beloved Civics Volunteer Coordinator, will be leaving us this month, as she departs for college. Ella has been answering questions for all things related to volunteering with NCICC since she was hired on in January 2018. Ella has done a wonderful job coordinating volunteers and students, managing attendance of citizenship and ESL classes, and helping out with event planning at NCICC. She will be greatly missed. Ella will be attending Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she will study political science. She is not sure exactly where the future will take her but she is excited to explore career opportunities within the realm of political science. She is sad to leave NCICC. Ella says that being a part of the NCICC community is something she will miss most when she leaves. “I have felt more connected to this community than I have anywhere else I’ve lived. I’ll come back. It’s not goodbye forever.” You will be missed, Ella! Thank you so much for your hard work at NCICC these past few years! You have been a joy to our students and we are so blessed to have had you on our team. Good luck and many blessings in your future!
