While searching for an internship to fulfill an undergraduate requirement, Alyssa discovered Pathways and immediately connected with our mission. Starting as a legal intern, she quickly became passionate about serving immigrant families and found a strong sense of purpose within our organization. Today, she is a permanent staff member, helping clients navigate the life-changing process of obtaining legal status and U.S. citizenship.

Together, Alyssa and her mom reflect on what inspires her work, the importance of compassion and connection, and how community support creates pathways to opportunity for all.
